Before we begin the Change Champion course, we’d like to introduce Marianne, our driving force, to you and share her personal story with you:
“… change is something I am very familiar with!”
“My name is Marianne de Kuyper and I have moved house more than 18 times, changed subject studies on several occasions and the longest time I have been in one particular job was 9 months. So, change is something I am very familiar with! However, the most recurring theme in my life is teaching. Teaching to me means setting the space for people to learn and grow as a person.
Changes in my life
Through these changes in my life, I began to evolve as a person, to reach a place of more acceptance and kindness towards my highly sensitive nature and my sound sensitivity; which often made me feel I didn’t quite fit in. Therapy, coaching, courses and self-help books definitely helped me cultivate more and more self-love, self-acceptance and courage to deal with my personal challenges, like being highly sensitive.
How can I support you?
What is my personal background and how can I support you? As mentioned previously, teaching is the most consistent theme through my life. I have a background in Communication on Strategic Change Management, I have taught English to (young) adults, I have written English language course materials and I worked as a guidance counsellor. I also have been teaching Yoga since 2010 and I have (co-) founded several Yoga related online platforms.
Necessary steps to grow
On top of that I took the necessary steps to grow as a person, to reach a place of more acceptance and kindness towards my highly sensitive nature and my selective sound sensitivity; which often made me feel I didn’t quite fit in. Therapy, coaching, courses and self-help books definitely helped me cultivate more and more self-love, self-acceptance and courage to deal with my personal challenges. And are helping me up to this day and forward.
My personal process of coaching and personal development started when I was 20 years old. Twenty years later, I know what it feels like to be coached and to have therapy. I know what it feels like to be coached and to have therapy. I am also being coached at the moment and I see it as an ongoing and very important process to keep on growing as a person. I have followed cognitive therapy, psychotherapy, hapto-therapy (‘haptonomie’ in Dutch) and speech therapy. All of it supported me in finding find my real voice.
I know what it feels like to be dealing with challenges like sound sensitivity, depression, burn-out, fear of failure, fear of losing someone and not being assertive enough. The therapies and coaching sessions in the (recent) past have supported me immensely and allowed me to start trusting myself more. I have grown so much and I am passionate about continuing to learn. I also wish the same to you; continuous personal growth towards more self-trust and self-love.
What can I share with you about change? Is change easy? Believe me, it is not. Is it possible? Yes!
Regarding change; change comes with resistance. With questions like: “What have I done?” and “What on earth was I thinking?”. Because the initial outcome of our wishes does not always resonate perfection from the very first moment. We need to settle down in the change in order to be able to get comfortable in the new situation, the new home, the new you! When we give ourselves time to settle in the change, something beautiful happens. At this very moment the complete process will bring us progress. It will bring understanding, acceptance, growth and love for life.
Last, but not least. What makes my approach special? It is a unique approach simply because it is mine. We are all unique and we all have our own path to follow. The blueprint that I will be sharing with you, was given to me by a coach once and I have been fine-tuning it over the years. I made it mine and turned it into my own unique method. It has worked for me again and again during all of those moments of change, as I hope it will work for you!”
We hope you will love and embrace the process of change like we do!
With love and care,
Marianne and the team

// I, Marianne (founder) am a Dutch girl going global. Even though (the team and) I reread everything multiple times, my apologies in case I’ve made a language mistake somewhere. Just e-mail me about it. I’ll be happy to adjust it if I can and learn from it! //
